| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a clear copper with lots of bubbles and a large frothy head. Floral and piney hop aroma. Just like the pale ale, the hops are a little less assertive than they should be. Ammonia/soap in the taste. Watery. JJClark (546), Roscoe, Illinois, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Very pale in color for an IPA, a clear light orangish, A bit hard to understand whats going on here. A hit of citrusy hops that quickly fades into a dry finish... I guess they accomplished what they were going for... Finishes much like a very hoppy pilsener... i want a bit more malts to back up my IPA’s... Good flavor while it lasts, just dont swallow if you dont want the thin dry finish... Unfortunantly, thats not how i drink my beer... I love IPA’s, this was not my favorite... dmtroyer (415), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 3, 2008 12oz. Pours clear orange with a poofy white head. Mostly citrus and a bit of pine in the nose, pretty light body with a bitter fruit hop punch on the finish. Fairly refreshing, fairly forgettable. bag (103), Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2008 From bottle... poured very clear light gold (wish it wasn’t as clear) and big, white head. Aroma was hoppy, citrus and pine. Flavor was typical, but a bit weak. Nice, cry bitter finish. Pretty happy with this, but not the top of my IPA list. jayhopkins23 (27), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2008 The appearance of this beer is a cross between straw and orange. At first taste, Amarillo hops dominate this beer, and it seems that the malt can’t keep up with it, but deeper into the bottle everything seems to come together. This is a very drinkable beer Flyer (118), Hartland, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2008 A little tough for me to judge, since I seldom drink an IPA that doesn’t have "imperial" or "double" or "triple" in front of it. But this is a very good example of the staright IPA style. It pours with a perfect head, a good inch thick, yet full of fat bubbles. Aroma of pineapple hops. The flavor is mostly more of those pineapple hops over a malt core that reminds me of Pilsner Urquell. The mouthfeel is perfect -- just thick enough, but it goes down smooth. Of course, more fresh, clean hops on the finish. Recommended. EithCubes (2171), Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Bottle. Oh, yikes! Big citrusy and bready C-hops, big pine and caramel, with a light lemon grass bg. Superb IPA aroma. Big rocky white head rests frothily atop the clear orange, medially carbonated body. Taste is sharply, sharply, (repeat), sharply bitter with strong overtones of resin and lighter bread. Citrus (increasingly lychee over lemon) notes totally dominated by caramel and earth, to its detriment. Pine is nice, though. Full-bodied and crisp. A biting, slightly tart IPA with a long, dry, strongly bitter aftertaste. Bang for the buck, that’s for sure!
