Commercial Description:
Mo-Jo: 1: A magic spell or charm; magical power; 2. Herbaceous ale that summons hop attacks.

Pale in color but packed with flavor, MoJo reflects the perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt character. The unique Amarillo hop adds a slight citrus flavor to an ultra-crisp dry finish.

Bottle. Gold pour with creamy white head. Hops, and a little pine on the nose. Malt and hops upfront in the flavor, well balanced. A little carbonation tickles the tongue. Mouthfeel is a little thinner than I would like. Slight bitterness with a wisp of alcohol flavor in the finish. Decent, but much better in the category.

Pours a clear medium gold with some amber, a nice creamy white head that left good lacing on the edges, aroma of green pine and some grass, lots of fruity sweetness and orange, sugar candy, hints of vanilla, the malt sweetness and hop pine blended but the malt sweetness was the last fragance standing, flavors of fruity bread with faint grapefruit and grass, a citrus prickly bite on the tongue, bitterness lasts into the finish, mouth feel was a little thin but nothing to write about on Ratebeer, a bit of alcohol warmth as it reached room temperature, appears to brewed to be a Hybrid British-American IPA, a enjoyable drink.

Picked up a bottle from PP bottle shop in Carlsbad. Hazy golden color, not much head. Prime example of your standard lower tier IPA, along the likes of Longhammer or Stargazer. Refreshing, but way off balance. Crisp and sub-hoppy, needs more punch.

Cloudy orange with decent, creamy white head / Sweet, malty hoppy nose / Moderately sweet flavors of malt with undertones of pineapple / Fine, but rather plain.

Had this one at a pizza place in Lincoln, Nebraska. From what I remember, I was lured in by the "Boulder" and by the "mojo." It was a decent IPA. Not my favorite.

Poured from the bottle with a nice creamy head and a cloudy orangish color. This had adequate hops for an IPA but it also had this chewiness that very few beers have. I think it is due to the malt that is used, but I’m not positive. Because of the great chewiness this was more like a meal, than a beer. I liked this and I would definately buy it again.

Had this beer on 8/21/2003. Aroma is a smooth citrus hop scent. Color is a pale gold with very good carbonation and a tight thick head. Taste is very hoppy. Starting with medium body it goes down rich feeling some what like a Scottish ale. The finish comes on with a sweet rich malt flavor which is backed by a bold bitterness and a full hop flavor. The maltiness is a bit much for me and it seems to come across a bit too bitter. The hop flavor is very nice and overall I must say that this is a very balanced beer but just a little too much of everything.

not a big fan of this one..pours a semi-translucent light amber with minimal white head..aroma of pine, grapefruit, grass, light sugar, and alcohol..bitter ruby red body that finishes quite dry...pretty standard for an IPA with nothing exciting here..go for the hazed and infused of you want hops from Boulder Beer Co.
