Big thick creamy off white head an d great lasting sticky lacing. Aroma was a little stale and cardboardy lacking some of the bright citruysy hops I expect from the style. Flavor was pretty straight forward. Light malts and some bitterness but not as much hop flavor as I was loking for. A significant lingering bitter trailer and a fialry dry finish. timjertson (26), Waseca, Minnesota, USA

Big hop aroma with citrus and evergreen forest notes. Initial bite balanced with smooth malt on tongue and sharp clean finish. DrHomolka (731), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Smell is hoppy balanced by a decent amount of malt. Some slight biscuity aromas as well. Taste is crisp, smooth, mildly hoppy with a bitter finish. Well balanced. I did not try it back to back but I swear this is identical to Dale’s Pale Ale. Tasted the exact same as I remembered Dale’s to taste. I liked this a lot and it’s a bargain. drpimento (883), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Hazy amber color. Definite hop aroma with some spice and biscuit. Flavor is a little sweeter but with an odd bitterness lurking. Interesting beer. Session. I wouldn’t mind tryin the mojo risin, as for this one - it was just an average ipa, barely wanted to finish it cchubb (73), Minneola, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Heavily west-coast hopped with a grassy, bitter bite. Semi-clear straw color with a small head and no bubble generation to speak of. I wish that it had more malt backbone to back up that hop-bag-to-the-face aspect. boFNjackson (1324), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Tap... came a hazy, golden tone with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma, usual palate and flavors for the style. Had a nice grainy and citrus undertone to the hops. Finished clean. cheapdark (2050), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 12, 2007 On tap at a great place in Pittsburgh, Mad Mexcan. Same old pale yellow american beer color. Head starts big then fades to a one quarter inch froth. Has big and small bubbles. Big smell of hops impact. A very hoppy initial flavor impression. I am not disappointed, hoppy as ever, just what I was expecting. Right on target for this style. Grapefruit rind galore. Finish is lingering and lasting. Gimmie a chaser.
