| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2009 Pours a light copper color slight offwhite head. Aroma is piney, citrus, and a tad bit of spices. Flavor is dominated by earthy resiny hops, followed by a slightly sweet malt base then a dry bitter finish. Overall, this is a decent IPA, but I had this side by side with a bear republic racer 5 which probably made this seem a bit more lackluster than it really was. drowland (1430), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Personally, I love the good stuff when it comes to IPA’s. But in a taste test; I could not tell the difference between this and Blind Pig. This a premium single IPA. I highly recomend! I have access and would love a good trade. tgncc (845), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Aroma is earthy hops, caramel. The appearance is unusually yellow, white head. The flavor is spicy, earthy hops, some caramel malt sweetness, but not quite enough. The same earthy hops are present at the finish. Relatively mediocre. ROGUE (705), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 12, 2009 On tap. Pours a hazy copper color with a nice sudsy white head that leaves sticky sheets of lace. Floral, fruity hops and caramel malt make up the nose. The hops bring grapefruit and pineapple to mind and are nicely balanced by a good deal of caramel maltiness that lingers in the finish, alcohol is well hidden. Medium bodied with crisp carbonation. A nicely balanced easy drinking IPA.

Nicely rounded hoppiness gives the beer a full flavor that is robust yet smooth. Lingers on the palate nicely with a little bitterness. I did also notice a grapefruit taste on it as the beer got warmer. Beardface (1036), Eugene, Oregon, USA

Aroma hefty on citrus and pine hops with a very respectable amount of caramel for balance. Flavor is extremely well balanced as well, a tad more hoppy than not, but a good blend. Very smooth mouthfeel, extremely tasty. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
