| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 18, 2009 12oz bottle from grape and gourmet. pours a clear, light amber/gold with a quickly fading, bubbly white head, with thin lacing. aroma is the highlight of this brew. very fresh hops with big scents of grapefruit, orange peel, spruce, peach, and a touch of sweetness. flavor was a bit of a let down after the solid aroma. very bitter throughout with big citrus and pine just barely balanced by sweet, almost biscuity malts. finish has a soapy, astringent nature to it that detracted from the overall flavor. mouthfeel is crisp with good carbonation but slightly thin for a DIPA. overall, a decent brew that just seems to be missing that final touch of class. carl4beer (407), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2009 On tap at the Parkway in Tacoma. The keg blew as my beer was poured, so factor that in. Orange, slightly hazy color. Lots of pine and citrus aroma and flavor. Sweetness is almost overdone, as a bubblegum tang hits about mid-tongue. The alcohol was very well hidden. Plenty of hops here, but it’s not in the hop-monster class. The Amarillos have never impressed me much. SSSteve (2104), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Bottle from the thebeergeek.com, thanks Chris. Reddish gold appearance, semi transparent, creamy top. Smells like a double, lemon and lychees. Tastes of strong pineapple, grapefruit, bitter mid point to super bitter finish. Complex and impressive. Great for the summer. HonkeyBra (1375), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 6, 2009 22oz bomber fron Binny’s Glen Ellen. Golder orange, stickey white pour. Aroma of grapefruit, chlorine, something else off. Flavor is, as my girlfriend put it, like someone peed in a grapefruit. There’s also an off\-putting cloyingness and harsh astringent alcohol burn. Thin mouthfeel. This beer is fresh, so there is something definitely off here. TURDFERGUSON (1608), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Bottle. This stuff is pretty terrible. I remember drinking it when it first came out a few years ago and thinking it was okay but nothing like this undrinkable mess. Immensely cloying and just a sugary astringent catastrophe. chewy (10), , Oregon, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 4, 2009 On tap at the Horse Brass. Pours orange with almost no head. Very cask-like (even though it wasn’t on cask) - thin with zero carbonation. Citrus/hop aroma typical of an IPA - but tasted soapy and "off". Did not care for this at all. Might have been a problem with the keg or lines but wait-staff seemed to think it was fine.
