Commercial Description:
Only 120 precious barrels were brewed, adding more than half a ton of extra malt and twice the amount of Amarillo hops, so prepare your self for a full sensory explosion. The double dry-hop addition elevates the grapefruit-like aroma and flavor to an outrageous intensity, while the added malt raises the alcohol level from 7% all the way to 10% by volume.

A bit heavy on the alcoholic kick but not horrible handling it. Aroma is weak, but hop flavor makes up for it. Doesnt look like much of a winner but is descent. Definitly drinkable.

Pours somewhat clear medium amber, forming medium foamy head from 22 oz bottle. Aroma of grapefruit, resins, and flowers. Flavour is of caramels, a bit of grapefruit, pine resin and hop peppers. Not a bad beer, but doesn’t really strike me as an double IPA. A decent beer, more of an IPA though.

22oz. bomber served in a shaker pint. Poured a clear gold with a finger of off white head. Plenty of carbonation. Big citrus/pine hop aroma. In your face hop bitterness typical of the style. Nice mouthfeel, there’s malt in there somewhere, but it is not very apparent. Mouth puckering, dry hop finish. Decent DIPA. At $2.99 for a bomber, it’s a bargain. Pretty drinkable for the ABV.

22 oz. bottle. Pours nice copper-gold color with a decent white head. The nose is citrus and floral. The taste is very rounded and almost sweet. This is contradictory to many of the other Double IPA’s I have had. This beer has a very light body for the gravity of this beer. While Im not sure that this is true to style. This is by far the best double IPA I have had.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Jacksonville, FL. Wow, what can I say about this one. Pours a nice copper color with a light head. Aroma is all hops with a touch of floral notes and hops. Taste is sharp with hops and a bite on the finish. A great double IPA.

Bottle: Clear bronze color, light white head and nice lacing. The nose is fairly hoppy, some pine and grapefruit along with a light spicy maltiness. I don’t know if it’s the citrus lotion I’m wearing, but the smell is super light on this. The flavor is chewy, some toffee and buttery malt notes with a balanced hop flavor. Woody, a bit sweet. Eh.

Clear golden color with a modest light beige head. Sweet aromas, with grapefruit, pale malt, light caramel, dough and some pine bark when swirled in the glass. Odd that it smelled much better prior to the swirl. Heavy, somewhat rough flavors. Caramel, grapefruit, pine bark, some floral hops as well float about. Not much that works together. Finish has a sweet grapefruit pith component. Linger is long and not all that pleasant. Some wood and pine sap with a long generic bitterness that sets in the back of the throat and begs to be scrapped out. Far too rough in areas.

Pours clear orange color with big off white head. Aroma of sweet grapefriut. Flavor starts sweet and and finishes with mildly bitter hops. Decent IIPA. Medium body with moderate carbonation an a creamy mouthfeel. For the price I would definately buy this again.
