I had higher hopes, and they were somewhat dashed, but all in all a good beer. Not nearly as complex or even as flavorful as Hopslam and Hercules which Peach’s had recently. I like the intense citrus and bigness of the alcohol, but the overall hop level does not compare to some of my favorite double IPA’s. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

A little darker amber color with large, creamy beige head that slowly settles to a tiny pancake like head. Large citrus aroma with resiny pine, slight, very slight, bubblegum, sweet full and well balanced malt. Orange and resiny pine flavor with sweet caramel, very well balanced and very well done, a little perfumy. Medium to full creamy body. Very good and better than the regular version and fresh. pizzabeer (6), USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Awesome.. Very Underrated Brewing Company. Wonder if the "Hippie" packaging disuades some buyers? This is an excellent beer with clean crisp citrus hops and a malt backbone to withstand the burn. Wow, will be buying this again! PorterPounder (3147), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors - 22 oz bomber. Medium copper pour with a sturdy pillowy white head that sticks around quite a while. Fresh, fragrant aroma with some spearmint hints, flowers, and pine resin. Juicy flavor with a front forward assault of grapefruty bitterness, sticky sweet maple syrup notes, some pomegranates, and a touch of mint in the back end. Reminds me of a an ambrosia fruit salad. Good, thick sticky mouthfeel. Slightly one-dimensional - but not unappealing. Does not leave you puckered out like some hop-bombs do. andyhite (293), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 16, 2008 bottle. pours rich amber hue with a beautifully laced creamy head. aromas hit with juicy orange chunks, minimal wet limestone, grapefruit rind, and thick pine sap, and a hint of good green herb. the grapefruit chimes in quite loudly on the flavor. is "creamy pot" a flavor? the hops are quite intensely bitter, but could be more flavorful. the spicy mouthfeel and bitter lingering finish work, but could be better integrated. the citrus really holds this one together. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Had on tap at Brews. Pour was a nice clear, golden orange color. Smell was sweet, malts and citrus. Taste was sweet malts, yeast, and citrus. Very hoppy on the finish. I am trying desperately to enjoy IPA’s, but so far, just too hoppy for me. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2008 A 10% "hopped" up version of their regular Mojo IPA, nice beer. Thick aromas of lemon, grapefruit, flowers, and evergreen. A clear copper pour with a 1/4" lasting off white head coupled by a touch of stringy lacing. Heavy malts lend to a nice creamy mouth feel. Great bitterness that helps this beer drink nice and easy. Bready, cereal malt flavor with fruity grapefruit and orange. Plenty of floral bitterness. Overall the Amarillo hops add more of a bittering element. A tasty hopped up beer, just not my preference when it comes to this style. agl108 (509), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured light copper with poor head retention. Thin, watery, lacking malt. Sharp, bitter hop bite. Poor effort when compared to other IIPAs.
