Pours a pale golden yellow with just the thinnest film for a head. A sweet sticky piney mango and grapefruit. A little bit of alcohol sticks out. This is what I envision a double IPA smelling like. Reminiscent of Ruination, but more malt. The body is a little on the thin side, with low carbonation and a bit sticky. The flavors are in line with the aroma, with the exception of a few off flavors. Sweet pale malt, some unripe mango, alcohol, definitely pine/bread mold. Sweet fruity finish with a little diacetyl and a bitter grapefruit and alcohol aftertaste. Tastes a little wheaty in terms of malt bill, but I doubt it’s in there.

Not much aroma, especially for the style. Slight citrus hops. Goodly bitter, and a slight grapefruit on the finish. Fairly malty. Alcohol doesn’t seem noticeable especially because this isn’t very cold. Pretty well balanced. I think the regular mojo might seem more hoppy.

From a 22oz Bottle. Pours a transparent, golden color with a splash of orange. A healthy finger of white foamed head rests peacefully on top. Lots of tropical fruit hops in the aroma, giving this a freshly picked herbal glow. Papaya and mangos abound with some subtle confectioner’s sugar that lends a light sweetness to the nose without being the least bit cloying. A twist of pulpy white grapefruit rounds it out with a suggestion of bitterness, but the tropical fruits are what dance. Light bodied, gently carbonated mouthfeel. Frighteningly drinkable, with the alcohol extremely well hidden. Some of the tropical fruit hop flavors start out the palate with a squeeze of sweet tangerine. The malt body could use some more depth for complexity, but at the same time it could compromise drinkability. This is one of those beers with a delightful nose that I would pick as an all night drinker, but let’s be honest - when does that happen? Perhaps more importantly, who would choose a 10% beer as an all night drinker unless they had some serious sorrows to drown? Toward the finish, the malts gets to be a bit thin and imparts a lightly toasted corn flavor thats a bit disappointing. The malt body is really the only major weak point for me. The bitterness creeps through on the back end, and eventually overwhelms some of the unpleasant malt characters. Alcohol well hidden, but I can definitely feel it creeping up on me. Respectable. bottle-thanks to vyvvy for giving me this one. Ya know, i ended up liking this beer even though it had a few flaws that i thought were pretty bad. However, I think i over-rated it due to its ease of drinkability. pours bright orange with a fluffy white head. nose of tangerines all over the place-huge orange/tangerine bomb here for shure. a faint note of tropical fruit. flavors are citrus all around-not much else, just lots of juicy orange and lemon notes. really not complex in the slightest. 10%? WHERE? its nowhere to be seen. This thing drinks so easy, which makes me want to have it again. some light metallic notes on the finish which detract from the overall enjoyment here. still, a decent IIPA.

1.6 pint bottle poured into a snifter after a good day of yard work and cleaning (!)...single-finger head; effervescent rush of bubble in a soft orange glow. Sharp hop aroma--grapefruit is claimed by the label, although I can olny detect a citrussy something...intriguing. Extremely sour/bitter antagonism on tongue and mouth (channeling Jim?). I’d call this intrusive, but at 10% I detect no alcohol...(an hour passes)... winding down, and the alcohol still deceptive in taste. A nice nightcap.

Bottle. Orange pour with a white head. Aroma of grassy hops as well as some piney ones...some pale caramel malt as well. Fairly malt in flavor with grassy notes coming through every now and again. Medium body with and earthy bitter finish. I think this is the most average IIPA I’ve ever had.
