Commercial Description:
Only 120 precious barrels were brewed, adding more than half a ton of extra malt and twice the amount of Amarillo hops, so prepare your self for a full sensory explosion. The double dry-hop addition elevates the grapefruit-like aroma and flavor to an outrageous intensity, while the added malt raises the alcohol level from 7% all the way to 10% by volume.

Yellow orange in color... Fairly aromatic of floral and citrus hops... Flavor is bitter throughout, rather delicious beer.

Pine forest citrusy nose with proper malt nuances punching through. Color and clarity is just slim of spot on for a beer of this makeup. Intro is grape nutty for a split second and then the fruitiness of the hops and nutty grain follow with sweet grain resines very present throughout. Finish is high in alphas (as expected) with appropriate grain flavors still shining through. Overall, a delicious beer leaving me salivating me for another malty gulp.

Tasting at a beerfest [Disclaimer: This was tasted along with many, many other beers during a tasting at Julios. Some of the details are a little hazy]. Well done. Hard to believe it is a whopping 10% abv.

This is an extremely refreshing Double IPA that isn’t heavy on the tongue but unique on the taste. Aroma: Popped the cap off and from within 1 1/2 feet I could smell the hops. Appearance: Poured a bright orange color that ends up being a burnt yellow, either way it is a bit too clear to take a top honor in this category. Flavor: Citrussy hops with exceptional malt dimensions that give this beer an almost heavily hopped wheat ale taste. Palate: The palate could be a bit richer in depth but with an exceptional carbonation level it keeps the beer light in the mouth. Overall: The bigger brother of Hazed and Infused within the series, Mojo Risin’ would be approved by Jim Morrison if he were to try this ctirus hop heavy IPA.

Tap. Moured gold red with medium white head. Very hoppy aroma, floral citrusy wit a bit of grass. Full hoppy flavour, very chewy body. Lasting hop finish This is a hop bomb and doesn’t taste like 10 percentum alcohol

12 oz, guest bottle poured into a czech pils glass at Lunar Brewing. The color was medium amber, followed by a foamy and bubbly off white head that left some nice, curtain-like foamy lacing. The aroma was sweet candied tropical fruit, citrus, and smooth malt. The flavor continued the experience with a more creamy nature to the malt, fruit sweetness of pineapple and citrus, and a pleasant, strong grapefruit and resin bitterness. A hint of soapiness was detected but was negligible. A very potent and flavorful DIPA.
