| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2007 With three hops, Nugget, Willamette & Cascade all in Never Summer Ale I thought the hop profile would be more pronounced. Caramel malt, and spices blend well with the citrus and fruit flavors. Alcohol clocks in @ 6% which is adequate. Never Summer may be best described a winter style session beer. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a reddish copper color with a beige head. Aroma includes a decent amount of dark malts. Taste includes toffee, molasses, and possibly even some fruit. Strong carbonation. Average mouthfeel. This reminded me of a hoppy version of Sam Adams Winter Lager. malrubius (1002), Valley Stream, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 18, 2007 12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Deep amber with tan head. Brown sugar, sugar cookie, and hop aroma. Minimalist brown sugar and bitter hop flavor with carbonation bite. Why would anyone care to make a winter warmer that is "clean and crisp"? Translate that to relatively flavorless. Zzzzzzzzz.... dchmela (1450), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Deep copper pour with a small white head. Big caramel malt and hop aroma. Taste does a 180 from the aroma and becomes a smooth malt taste, sweetness of christmas sweets making it very easy to drink. A hint of hop bitterness in the finish. Interesting taste, maybe could have been a little stronger. beerbrat99 (119), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Draft. Color is amber hue. Effervescent carbonation with good lacing. Aroma of tangerines and grapefruit. Medium body with slightly dry finish. i’m looking for some spice character but just not finding it. A very drinkable ale but a bit of a wimpy winter beer. ford9719 (369), Vilseck, Germany

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2007 An alright beer. Drinks a lot like an amber ale with cascade hop flavor. Aroma was quite nice with a citrus and pine aroma, that mingled with the malts and gave it a hint of apricot. Dark amber with a white head, translucent. medium body. Flavor was good, but I thought the hops could have mingled better wth the malt. The edges of them just stuck out a little much and it just didn’t seem to be a united flavor.
