Aroma of caramel malt, nutmeg, toffee, nuts, mild cabernet, like a spicy ESB. Tastes caramel malty, with spice, dry noble hops, soke cabernet notes. This one comes across like a spiced nut brown or ESB ale, with more noble hops and spices. TheRimmer (483), Florida, USA

Dark red, thick but clear with a thin white head. Strong bitterness, good balance but no depth. No notable "winter" flavors, maybe a touch of spice in the finish. Good palate, slightly thick but crisp and refreshing. Arayaga2 (981), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Flavor was bold and kind of cidery and the palate was average. Not a bad choice at all and definitely beats a lot of other bland winter ales you normally find.
