Smells pretty good, cloves and nutmeg and caramel. Looks decent. Taste is sweet and with caramel and hoppy. Goes from thinnish to thick and pretty sweet throughout. It’s only real downside.

12-oz. The GF raved about this one from having tried it on draft at the Barking Dog. It’s tasty, alright. Pours a deep amber, hazy, thin off-white head that scampers off at the first sign of movement of the glass. Big caramel malt nose, nothing else. Nice attack; medium body and carb along with some forward flavors. Good dense layers of malty caramel goodness on the mid palate, along with a nice spicy/piney hop finish that kind of hangs around for a while but gets pretty quiet pretty quickly compared to some finishes. Not sure where the spice comes in, maybe augmenting the hop finish with a little bit of black peppery panache, but overall this is a nice malty ASA with a decent hop finish. I don’t really care whether it is or isn’t spiced, though--it’s good and I’ll happily drink it ’most anytime.

poured a mohgany hue with thin white head whihc had some retention. A nice fragrant aroma with caramel and pine notes as well as some nutmeg. Full malty flavor mainly sweet but some spiciness that mixed well with a hop finish. Really smooth.

12oz bottle. reddish copper with thin tan head. very sweet malty aroma. Nice balance of malt and hops, with an earthy, astringent finish. I had this on draft 2 months ago and recall being much more impressed.

12 oz. Bottle. Pours a clear orange-red with a white head and a modicum of lasting. A spicy hoppy aroma in the nose. This beer has a nice balance between the bitter, malt, and spiciness. Nice sweet and spicy fine. Nicely made

Bottle. Pours with a nice copper color and a small brownish head. Nice body to it, aromas are of raisins, maybe figs and some spice. Flavors of malts, nutmeg, raisin and a bit of hops. Finish is smooth with a bit of a sweetness. A nice winter beer, one of the better ones out there.

Bottle from seasonal beer sampler. Aroma was stale hops. Clear pour with nice arbonation. Heavy on malt with a little bit of spice. Other than that, not meorable in any way. I’ll pass if offered this one again.

Deep amber pour with a head of lemony cream of various sized bubbles. Aroma is hops? Hmmm not what I expected. I’m intrigued. There is some balance here, this is no IPA. The color and sweet aroma foreshadows a solid malt backbone that is revealed upon the first sip. The flavor is a delicate mix of spices followed up with some hop bite and a finish of residual hops and the solid sweet malt backbone. A very nice winter warmer with enough hops to satisfy that year-round hop craving.
