| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 18, 2006 Big head, bronze clear beer, kinda cool label, standard issue microbrew longneck bottles. Light, penicillin-laced, APA aroma. Blech. Woody, tannic, tart, kinda red ale flavor. Light cocoa, woody bittering, moderately sweet. Not quite sure what they were going for with this one, but it’s someplace between an American Brown and an APA. Some grassiness. Finishes chalky and woody. Just because you CAN do it, doesn’t mean that you SHOULD do it. Ale-in-the-Mail selection, December 2006. brewblackhole (1374), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2006 A sweet malt aroma, smells like it was mixed with Pepsi Cola, overlaid by a backdrop of field hop,Taste has a big upfront sweetness, sorta strange ,almost like an artificial sugar taste, some hop bitterness, also something else going on here, like a hint of cabbage soup, I cant imagine whats all in here, different to say the least, thanks Kingpin hepburn82 (141), Scotland
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2006 Bottled. Pours with little head - dark maroon. Plummy treacle aroma with some hop. A strange beef stock thing going on too! Flavour is fruity too but predominantly treacly. Slightly tart but quite a malty beer. Lingering hop finish but nothing too in your face. Just OK. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2006 Dark purple color. Smell of malt, rye, hops, chocolate, prunes, spice and hints of caramel. Tastes the same but better. The only thing different is I can taste some pine and carrots. Dry bitterness at the end. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Bright copper colour. Toasty, with slight graham cracker malts and full sugary sweetness. Standard amber ale taste...caramel, light wood, vague bread and dull Willamette hops. Uneventful. yayforbeer (647), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Sampled at Broudys Holiday Beerfest,Jacksonville FL 12/2/2006. A slightly better than average beer. Malty and hoppy with a slight citrus sharpness from the cascade. Maybe some spice but not much. I may try this again later to give it an honest appraisal.
