I didnt pour this into a glass, as i needed maximum brew intake post haiste! It was tasty none the less, and Boulder beers have never let me down before. Maybe it is because i drink Furious all the time, but i taste NO hops unless it is overflowing with the stuff like Furious. That stuff has charred my tounuge for life, tasty!!

12 oz bottle. Pours deep copper to amber in color with nice lasting tan head. There was also some decent lacing leaving a trace of the beer that was being consumed. The aroma is light with a medium sweetness caramel malt and just a hint of hops. Fairly rich caramel maltiness in the flavor which pushes the boarder of dark fruit. Nice bit of pine to slightly grassy hop bitterness.

01.12.06 12oz bottle. Dark red-copper color with tiny but fairly lacing tan head. Aroma is full of tea, wet leaves, mulch, and some veggie soup. What? I’m not getting any top secret spice, unless that spice is supposed to be something woodsy (maybe spruce or pine?). C-hop notes dance in and out and seem totally out of place. Late sweetness comes creeping in and makes for a gloppy and sticky finish despite a watery and dull mouthfeel. Odd stuff and nothing I want to drink again.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. The aroma is spicy and malty with some fruity notes. Mild flavour with hops, malts, fruits and spices present. It is sweetish with a rather dry and bitter finish. Some sharpness from the spices. Medium bodied.

Very nice! Pours a clear amber with a white soapy head. Aroma of hops, malts, and some spices. Taste is well-balances with hops, malts and some spices rounding it all out. A nice offering.

Bottle. It is interesting that I give this ale the exact same scores as zombywoof did immediately before me, but I assure you that mine is a fully independent rating. Never Summer gives off a solid, hoppy aroma that is subdued but satisfying. It has a deep, slightly cloudy, copper color and a moderate tan head. This beer possesses strong malt and hop flavors, adding up to a well balanced taste. The spices create an aftertaste that is both strong and perhaps a bit too bitter. The beer is medium-bodied and crisp, like a typical pale ale to the palate. For a beer that is classified as "A Spice/Herb/Vegetable," its flavors are surprisingly limited in scope, but the few that are present make themselves quite obvious. Overall, this is a good, strong, memorable, and aptly named brew.
