May 3, 2009 Bottle-I’ve got to say that I was disappointed with the beer, even with all the ratings, I was expecting something better. Pours a full copper color with a medium head. The aroma was floral with a solid base of maltiness. Taste wise, the beer was a solid mixture of malts and hops with a bitter finish.

Apr 19, 2009 Clear copper pour, low head, some lace. Slight sour aroma. Thick sweet, with a sour caramel flavor. Low carbonation. This might be a little old. Some fruitiness with a dry woody aftertaste. Not bad.

Apr 14, 2009 Bottle Pours a clear light brown with a small off white head. The head diminshes quickly, but leaves some good lacing. Has a nice sweet aroma of malts and spicies. Has a light carbination and an okay mouthfeel. Decent flavors. This is blended fairly well. A pretty good finish and a thick texture. Has a medium body. This is pretty good.

Apr 3, 2009 Bottled. Poured medium orange with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up caramel supporting an interesting array of spices.. nutmeg, juniper, and cinnamon come to mind.. earthy and lesser orangey hoppage around. The flavor was caramel-centric as well with tangy grapefruit circling the tongue.. nutmeg, mint, and earth around.. finished a bit sour and quite spicy.. aiight. Medium-bodied with a spotty, uneven flow across the palate.. dry, quick finish with some nice spice to it.

Mar 24, 2009 Bottle from Once Upon a Vine - South on 01/31/2009. Very clear copper amber body with a medium frothy tan head. Sweet floral hop and caramel fruit aroma. Sweet fruit flavor, some caramel, and a bit of floral hops in the background. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

Mar 18, 2009 Deep brown beer with a thick sticky tan head. Aroma is quite malty with a soft spiciness as well. Fairly sweet with a light crackery note and a touch of spiciness as well. A little but of sticky sweetness that helps the spicy flavour stick around through to the finish. Lingering earthy/pine hop finish. Not bad at all.

Mar 15, 2009 12 oz bottle. Clear red/amber with a thick off white head. Looks well carbonated. Deeply malty nose, nutty with earthy hops. Rather tannic flavor, mildly nutty with a citrusy orange tone. Nice lace. Pleasant.

Mar 14, 2009 A nice beer, if less than exceptional. Pour is a medium, reddish brown, with a nice light tan head. Nose is a nice balance of hops, a little alcohol, and some spice notes. Flavor is good...a pleasant melding of spice and hops, and just enough alcohol to have a slight warming effect as it goes down. My main criticism is that it doesn’t linger on the palate for any considerable time, though it is a tasty beer and one I’d consider tasting again.
