On tap...a dark rosey brown. Aroma was subtle but had a bit of crisp hops, sweet malt, and fruit. Taste was moderately bitter and spicey...nothing to balance it out. Mouthfeel was very carbonated. Not to good.

This ale pours a dark amber color with a small, fizzy light-brown head. Body is clear and flat. Sweet aroma of light malts. Initial flavor is lightly bitter with both a lightly sweet and lightly bitter finish. Malt taste. Mouthfeel is light to medium with an oily feel. Lively carbonation. A good winter beer. Warms without spices normally found in winter brews.

never summer is clear, and it’s the shiny tortoise shell color that you’ll get with a brand new pair of redwing leather boots. a straw colored head is as fine as pussy willow fuzz-- with just enough of it to signal that you’re not drinking tea-- tho some evidence of tea will turn up later in the interview. snickers bar caramel, peanuts, orange flowers and cardamon are the lead envoys of aroma, with dry leaves and cocoa powder. carbonation gallops hard right out of the starting gate, but i let it charge down the back stretch, and it soon found a softer gait. nice balance of orange cake and toffee flavored malts and a tea bag bitterness that bites like a cornered badger, it’s like putting a lipton tea bag in your mouth-- but the sweetness and medium body and watery feel take it down easy.

Dark reddish hazy brown with a thin light moka head. Aroma of good c-hops, and fruity esters, with predominant prunes and vinoues notes. In mouth, not too sweet, light nutty malt, with a good dose of c-hops. Now, would the secret spices be coriander and cinnamon? Nice!

[Bottle] A dark reddish color with a nice creamy head. Liked how it smelled in the glass giving off some wonderful aromas. Good Balance I would drink this beer again. I realley liked the spicy flavors this beer was giving off also.

Leon Pub, Tallahassee, Fl. - 12 oz bottle. Pours a murky dark orange with a slightly thickish, foamy, off-white head that sticks around a while. Pleasant, fresh aroma that is both floral and fruity with hints of overripe canteloupe melons and a hint of spice. Flavor is full- bodied with an assertive citrusy- but not grapfruity - front end and some Christmas spices and a touch of sweet pancake maple syrup in the back end. Mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Pleasantly surprised. Glad to see this brewer making headway into the hinterlands of north Florida.

Draught at Old Chicago in Colorado Springs. Pours amber to mahagony wiht a medium sized foamy tan head and spotty lacing. Fruity, citrus (orange) hop and caramel malt aroma with yeast notes. Hoppy flavor, moderate acidity and bitterness with a caramel malt body. Medium bodied, slightly fizzy palate.
