Commercial Description:
Oak-aged oatmeal stout as dark in color as deep space. Again Obovoid on oak adds earthy character to the roasted notes and bittersweet chocolate finish derived from the black and chocolate malts.

Draft – Mahaffey’s Pub. Black, tan creamy head. Soft vanilla cocoa aromas ride lighter roasted coffee and wood-like tones. Bittersweet chocolate and toasted coffee cream flavors balance well on a foundation of roasted sweet vanilla bean and wood tones throughout. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not sure the bottle version gives a good impression, but this draft version was outstanding…

This was one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Thick and dense, crisp and fresh, this beer had a roast complex of utopia. There’s something about the balance this one achieves that’s mind blowing. It’s thick and roasty and harsh and abrasive yet it’s soft and fluffy on the swallow in a way that the body lets down it’s bigness but the flavors still sink deep into every crevice of your palate. Very interesting, and I loved every minute of this one. Will buy whenever I see it.

Super dark and a bit thick on the pour with an off white dense head. Aroma is sweet with bittersweet chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is sweet and has a balanced bitter roast. Some caramel, molasses and wood, vanilla. Nice body.
