Aroma is coffee, alcohol, and leathery tobacco. Taste is pretty yummy. The oatmeal stands out, rounding out the hoppy coffee and chocolate. Left a nice chocolate aftertaste for me to savor.

Black pour with a thick brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, oak and sweetness. Taste is sweet, oak, roasted malt. Dry at the end. Little watery. Nice lacing. oak flavor comes out more as it warms in the glass.

reddish tinged dark brown, very thick head, heavy retention. Nose is very nice, dark chocolate, cocoa, Very creamy palate and mouthfeel. Taste is milk chocolate. Not a lot of complexity to this stuff, but still, very smooth, very creamy, very enjoyable.

Reviewed 10/29/2009 (bottle): Pours a very dark brown color body, with a small creamy light tan colored head. Has an aroma of coffee and sweet milkiness. Very enticing smell. Has a creamy ashy taste, like cigarettes. A little dusty. Not as good a taste as it smells.

Pours a dark brown showing light and sits black in the glass with two fingers of a rocky light tan head. Nose shows coffee, some chocolate, very mild grain character, not very pungent. Oak character begins to show with warmth and starts with notes of vanilla and dry wood. Flavor is strong with a more forward dark grain character, prominent roast, coffee and dark chocolate, mild notes of molasses, some vanilla and wood shows with warmth. Palate is medium bodied with a prominent roast. Pretty good.

12oz, no date. Black in color, tan white head, less than stellar retention and lacing. Metallic nose with a little bit of oxidation, something off there too, just a little bit of dead fish. Flavor is mostly chocolate malt, some hop bitterness on the tail end. Watery, thin and barely any evidence of oak.

Nitro. Tap at Redlight Redlight. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Solid aroma of chocolate, vanilla and some cinnamon. Lots of malts, cocoa and coffee in the flavor. Thin, but surprisingly good.

Nitrogen keg at redlight redlight. Pours very dark, almost opaque. The nose is very burnt with a lot of roasted malts. Subtle hints of oak and bitter cocoa. The flavor reflects the nose but the burnt nose recede to the back. Some milk sugars come forward as well. Creamy and exceedingly smooth. A very nice stout.

nitro tap @ redlight redlight. Chocolate and coffee with hints of vanilla on the nose. Pours tan and settles into a nice black body with a thick tan head. Extremely smooth and definite vanilla notes from the oak with nice bitter chocolate, silky cafe latte, very smooth and thick at first but finishes surprisingly light and drinkable!
