Just seemed a little too bland. Perhaps the low carbonation level contributed to the blandness of the beer, but I can see little other use for this other than getting tanked off a decent brew. mrant (330), New York, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2007 Bottle. Clear amber to coppel colored. Aromas of buttery caramel and red apple peel. Caramel malt and earthy hop flavors punctuated by a mild spicy character. Some apple/citrus notes as well. Some minerals/salts detectable on the finish, reminding me a bit of Great Divide Denver PA (same water?). Medium bodied but drinkable. Competent if unexciting take on a British style session. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Poured from bottle...nice amber color with a decent white head. Very nice carbonation also. Aroma is very caramel like...with a sour note in the background. This one is very sharp and bitter...not all that bad. There is a strange taste...maybe it was the coughdrop I had a while back.... k4df4l (154), DTown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Pours amber/brown with a thin foamy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of light malt and earthy hops. Flavor is mild malty with an edge of astringency. Light hop flavor and a slightly metallic "twang" in the finish. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 27, 2007 Bottle from Frugal McDugal in Nashville. Pours a pale amber with a dissipating white head. Aroma of caramel malt, bread, and some floral hops. Initial flavor of toasted malt and wet grains that transitions to a subtle herbal hop middle, with pronounced unpleasant tea notes. Unenjoyable bitter finish that is slightly sour. This is not very good. I’d rather drink Ross’s homebrew. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
