Pours light orange with citrus, malt, and caramel aromas. Light hops come through in the taste along with faint butterscotch. A very easy drinking pale but nothing remarkable. delmecum (87), Western Illinois, Illinois, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 15, 2005 This poured a very bright copper with a decent white head... at the beginning. The aroma is sweet caramel with a light cherry fruitiness and some decent fuggle hops. Uninspired but tasty enough, it has a strong caramel taste neatly bittered with herbal/earthy hops.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bronze color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma is vegetal malts. There is no detectable hops on the nose. The flavor is vegetal sour malts with a light hoppy finish. Not a great offering. Tmoney99 (4751), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2005 Bottle. Clear amber with a moderate off-white head that diminished slowly. Moderate fruity sweet malty aroma. Medium body. Well balanced sweet flavor with an average sweet finish. willblake (2179), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Unfortunately, these beers aren’t nearly as good. This one is a pale amber gold, pretty flat and with a anxiously fading white head. Thin bodied but effy and lithe. Grassy and surprisingly vinous with interesting notes of pinot grigio and fresh white grape skins. Huh. Curious, but I won’t call it good. bigrond (1049), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

And I’m shocked - This beer is an excellent example of an english pale ale. It’s smooth and sweet - and malty not overly hoppy. If you like seirra’s pale ale you’ll HATE this.
