Commercial Description:
A perfect companion any way you pass time, this British-style pale ale is exceptionally soft and sweet compared with highly hopped American-style pale ales. The hop subtlety, distinct malt character and rich caramel color of Pass Time Pale Ale work together to create a smooth, lightly carbonated ale.

Nice strong copper coloured body with a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of hops, metal, malt, apricots and a light spiceyness. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppiness up front with a mild malty character and a good amount of sugars throughout. Aftertaste shows bitterness from the hops, but nothing else really. Overall, a bit one-dimensional, but showing some good characteristics. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverages in Albany, New York on 05-February-2006 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

As - Boulder Beer Pale Ale - 12 Fl oz bottle, thanks to Beave from the AA forum! On December 27, 2008. Hazy golden to amber color, fluffy cream colored head. Hoppy, floral, spicy, swet, malty scent. A bit thin floral and grassy taste. Also herbal and buttery. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterenss.

I am surprised this gets such a low rating. I thought it was a good, well balanced PA. The label has a pretty little painting on it. Fairly dark pour with no head. Unexpectedly rich aroma with floral hops and honey malt scents. Mellow malt flavor with modestly bitter hops coming into play. The mouthfeel develops a nice tingle. This tastes fresh and clean, the way one wants a beer from the Rockies to taste. Hear that, Coors

Bottle. Clear bright amber-gold with small off-white head. Fairly bright hoppy aroma is balanced, nothing special but clean with sweet malty character. Decent carbonation is pretty soft. The flavors I do not care for, way too sweet for me and lots of lingering caramel malt. Nose promised more hops than it delivered.

Golden-amber colour. Slightly herbal aroma with caramel, earth, wood undertones. Fairly uneventful, slightly metallic character. Vaguely caramelly taste. The body is somewhat light and there is hardly any bitterness. The thing with assuming a pale ale is British by virtue of it having no hops is that the end result tastes nothing like a British ale, just like a lame American one.

Enjoyed from the inventory at Rock Bottom.Kind of off-aroma. Looks like apple juice, with a little white foam and lace. Taste is apple juice and ome hops. Overall OK, carbonation a bit fizy. Glorified apple cider, serviceable hoppiness. Passable beer.

Draught at Boulder Beer. Clear golden - white head. Amber malty, sweetness, caramel, grassy, wood, hay, straw, acetone, cardboard. Boring - bad.
