Nov 12, 2006 Bottle poured a clear dark brown [nearly black] with a large lasting amber head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee and a hint of chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness and milk chocolate with a smooth finish.

Nov 3, 2006 on tap-pours a light brown head and black color with red tint. Aroma is chocolate-dark malt. Taste is chocolate-dark malt, dark caramel. Some hops. OK carbonation.

Nov 2, 2006 Bottle. Pours dark brown with a finger of beige head, chocholate notes as i pour. Toffee, chocolate, coffee smells. Not really to much exciting about the flavor, hints of both the chocolate and coffee, but thats about as far as it goes. Medium mouthfeel.

Nov 1, 2006 Bottled. Poured a clear deep brown with a nice initial cap of creamy lighter-brown head that diminished after a short while. Nose was solid... almost chalky burnt cocoa, roasted coffee, and other dark malts were in there. Flavor and palate were not so enjoyable... watery entry leads to an odd, sharp effervescence at the tip of the tongue (seemed more like carbonation than bitterness)... dark malts from the aroma are in there, but are tacky and non-descript... finish had some metallic and sour notes to it.. not at all satisfying.

Oct 24, 2006 The aroma is heavy with chocolate and brown sugar, there is also yeast and cream in there as well. The appearance is dark brown with a medium tan head. The flavor has vegetables as well as coffee and burnt malt but almost no chocolate.The palate is smooth but not as thick as it should be. I am not crazy about this porter.
