The roast malt aroma is typical for the style but good. The flavor was of course mainly of roast malts with some coffee notes and a mildly hoppy finish. The medium body did not seem terribly watery to me, but it could have been a bit thicker. This beer was quite drinkable. It just seemed quite average or a little below for a porter though. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2006 Bottle. Black pour, medium head. Roasty malt aroma, not very assertive, with some chocolate. Similar flavors, and a bit watery - tho not as bad in body as Pass Time or Sundance. Not bad, but not great. KSS (102), Plymouth, Minnesota, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2006 Bottle. Pours a deep black with a spare diminishing off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, mild chocolate and light hops. Flavour of sweet, slightly roasted malt and a bit of coffee. Very watery flavour and thin bodied making this a mediocre Porter. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 9, 2006 12 oz pours very dark bodied, almost no head. Smells like chocolate and alcohol. The taste starts sweet and finishes with a slight hop and mostly nutty taste. Very thick yet smooth palate. A decent American porter. jimmyh221 (157), Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, USA
