May 1, 2009 Dark brown, nearly opaque, but with an amber-brown underpinning. Intriguing milk chocolate and prick of smoke in the nose. Malted chocolate milkshake flavor. A different, but piquant and nicely flavored take on the porter. Lacks roastiness. Sort of a melding of mild brown porter and a chocolate brown ale.

Apr 15, 2009 A nice, though light porter. Started off with roasted grain aromas + a bit of coffee and chocolate. Very decent looking dark brown with reddish highlights + nice head which thickly hugged the glass. Taste is a bit grainy, hoppy, a little oil, not a bad palate just lacked complexity.

Mar 29, 2009 Pours a rich black with thin brown head. Good flavors of coffe, malts, chocolate, and taosty grain. Very smooth and drinkable. Pretty good porter.

Mar 28, 2009 Nice dark pour with a thin wispy head. Aroma of roasted malt. It is a smooth beer but not a great porter. I am used too a well established head on a porter and it did not have much. Must try again to see if it is true.

Mar 18, 2009 A very nice, well balanced porter. Pours very dark, almost black. Taste is smooth and very drinkable. Lighter than some porters, but I like that. Big thumbs up here!

Feb 28, 2009 Chocolate syrup coffee nose , hints of burnt toast. Black with a feint orange hue lurking beneath. Roasted malt, some liquorice, decent bitter balance. Huge carbonation, lightish medium body, fairly abrupt finish.. Pretty easy drinking, porter, not much depth, and overly carbonated.

Feb 25, 2009 This was a porter purchased in Blacksburg , Virginia. while visiting the kids. It was excellent. The coffee and chocolate like flavors were very evident. It had nice body and every drink was flavorful. The porter poured a deep black with thinish head. This is great every day porter. The finish was smooth with some roasted malt flavors.
