The bitterness on the end is just right. Really good ice cold with a couple of slices of pizza. bhensonb (4274), Woodland, California, USA

Clear amber color with a white head that laces slightly; very slightly. Starts a bit thin but firms a bit as the carbonation leaves. Has some citrus and pine along with some malt that gets stronger. The finish is kind of leftover citrus, a bit of bitter, and a little sweetness, but not much. TheBeerBaron (219), Florida, USA

Balanced aroma of buttery sweet malts and medium strength hops and pine. Sedated gentle palate that has minimal carbonation feel. Excellent balance and smooth taste. A mild hop taste is what you notice most, but is not dominating, other than that it has a great blend of what makes beer tasty. Not overly bitter but you know you’re drinking a beer thanks to the great ingredients in this one. andyhite (293), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2007 bottle. clear copper amber hue, avg white head. yeasts and fresh dough malts are all over the aroma. smells are similar to that of Fat Tire, but not as much biscuit. light hops are also present in aromas as well as taste. this is a smooth balanced ale. thick kneaded dough is apparent as well. it’s a pretty good everyday-style beer. slimchill (780), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 16, 2007 Bottle. Nose is subdued hops. Nice looking, pale orange with a steady white head. Flavor is lacking, consisting only of some citrusy hops and without any serious malt presence whatsoever. Palate is nice and drinkable though, steady smooth into a dry finish. dexter954 (5), Plantation, Florida, USA does not count | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 9, 2007 An average beer ...pours a nice golden amber...tastes like a beter big batch brewer manufactured the beer instead of a small brewer crafting. Have enjoyed other Boulder Beer products this was slightly disapointing nothing special to brag to friends about. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 30, 2007 Bottle: Transclucent orange, soft sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing, no noticeable carbonation.   Light hop presense, some astrigent malt notes, but also some overcooked vegetables.   Grainy malts, slightly dusty and earthy.   Low hope bitterness, but moreso a slight malt astringency that takes it place.   Not rich like other good Ambers.   Blech... even a touch of ashtray.   I think that work copper has become synonimous with ashtray.   Body and mouthfeel are average.   Not terrible, but not that good either.   At least I got myself a new label!
