Medium to mild strength malty aroma with an even lighter hop note. The flavor however has a sizable malt component. There is also a breadiness and hop earthiness that go pretty well together. Enjoyable product. TheBeerGod (3168), Newport News, Virginia, USA

Some spicy notes and hops with light rye notes.Taste is malty but continues with more of the hoppy notes and some spiciness. Body is light-medium with and mild carbonation and an odd lingering bitterness. Ends pretty much the same but begins to sweeten a bit. jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 30, 2006 This beer is better than a 42!. It’s not great but should be considered average at least. Amber clear body with white head. Flavor decent but duration could have been longer. I will try again to validate this rating in light of the consensus rating it has. howie (549), DeForest, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2006 Updated: Nov 7, 2006I was bemused to find both an "Amber Ale" and a "Copper Ale" in the sampler. They just couldn’t decide which standard American micro bland red/amber/copper ale to bottle, I guess. This one is slightly lighter and less sweet than the amber with a good husky maltiness. Maybe a better session beer. zombywoof (362), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
