Oct 25, 2005 Bottle. Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy white head. Light malt and hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Light sweet and bitter flavor with an average finish of short duration.

Oct 10, 2005 Updated: Jun 28, 2006I have been rather fond of a couple of the beers from this company so I was reasonably optimistic going into this one. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bronze color with a large yellow-tan head. The aroma is sharp with floral and fruity hops. The flavor is nice nutty malts with a moderate but not overpowering floral and lightly fruity hop presence. The finish is nutty. A nice beer overall.

Oct 8, 2005 10.02.05 Cask at Denver ChopHouse. Clear copper color with thin sudsy head. Lovely floral aroma is subtle but inviting. Simple but enjoyable mix of caramel malts and light floral hops. The finish is mildly bitter and dry. Some lingering toffee.
They also had this on tap and it was terrible. What a difference between the two. I’m going to average the points, but a cask only score would be 7-3-6-3-13.

Oct 8, 2005 Tap from Denver Chophouse: Pours gold with light carbonation. Aroma is a faint tinge of sweetness. The flavor is slightly bitter water, with the palate a physical representation of this. Little or no taste. The cask version at Denver Chophouse blows this one outta the water.

Oct 7, 2005 Bottle. Purchased at Town And Country in West Springfield, MA. Malty, peppery-piney spiced aroma with sugary toffee-like notes in the nose. Transparent copper-orange color with a small off-white head. Malty, buttery, diacetyl flavors turning a bit roasty in the middle. Finishes with a small amount of hoppiness. Cardboard flavors are also present. Blegh.

Sep 20, 2005 Copper color, duh, eggshell white color head. Medium fruity malts, a touch doughy, earthy hoppiness. Light to medium bodied, crisp. Not bad.

Sep 18, 2005 Slightly bready malt nose, vanilla and oak. Butter/butterscotch dominates. Some nice herbal & grassy bitterness.
