Commercial Description:
Stellar Alignment, winning recipe from our first annual homebrewing competition, was brewed on our pilot system by our guys Chris Coyne and Mike Memsic. Sweet and estery, deep golden in color and with a strong hint of anise, it's unique, very flavorful and will go down well on a warm afternoon. We've only got a few kegs of this, so be sure to stop in and give it a try.

Sampler at the Boulder Beer Company, Boulder 10/10/2007 Golden coloured and hazy in appearance with a spicy aniseed flavour. Crisp and slightly dry sour finish.

Draft at the brewpub, October 2007. An unclear golden beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of lemon zest as well as coriander. The flavor is very spicy with strong notes of lemon zest - too much for me, leading to a dry spicy finish.

On tap @ Goatshed Reunion poured a cloudy gold with a minimal off white head. Aromas of licorice, light fruitiness and a hint of yeast. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of licorice, fruittiness and a hint of carmel with a smooth lingering licorice finish. While I enjoyed this beer it would have been better if they backed off on the Star Anise a bit. As it is it’s a pretty one dimensional beer.
