Elwood (665), Leesburg, Virginia, USA Nov 9, 2009 Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: Clear very light gold color with a foamy, white head.
Aroma: Lemon, yeast, slight floral notes, a bit of spice.
Flavor: Slight spicy wheat notes, a bit of citrus, some yeast. Somewhere between a wit and blonde ale.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a light mouthfeel and a short finish.
Overall: Not terrible, just not great either. Take it or leave it. iceman15658 (7), Acme, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Nov 7, 2009 Bottle To Pint glass. pleasing aroma. golden color with very thin white head. a slightly sour finish. nbutler11 (729), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Nov 2, 2009 On tap at Papago. No idea why I ordered this. Oh, wait -- it was for a free glass. Poor decision on my part. Golden in color with a trim white head. Looks like a blonde, but has hefe roots. Loaded with wheat, yeast, and citrus zest. Cloying clove/banana notes on the finish. Not a fan. bsjay (54), Oregon, USA Oct 27, 2009 Oops, did I already say another Boulder beer was my least fave? Never mind, this extremely pedestrian blonde is as unremarkable as they come. Granted, it was no longer scorching out so I really should have been drinking IPA’s, but I doubt even on a 100+ day I would be too pleased with this. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Oct 14, 2009 Surprised at the low rating of this. On tap at the Ginger Man in nYC. Nice clove taste. Super carbonation. Great beer. Lubiere (4464), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 8, 2009 A hazeb vblonde weizen with a thick white head. Aroma of bananas, cloves, and cinnamon. In mouth, a light weizen with bananas, fruity esters, a bit of cloves. Light and refreshing. At Boulder Beer Tap House, DEN, August 28 2009. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA Oct 5, 2009 Fairly strong aroma is wheaty and yeasty with just a touch of lemon. It pours a slightly hazy straw yellow with a fluffy and none too persistent white head. Flavor is wheaty with a hint of citrus, slightly yeasty, not all that inspiring. Flavor is smooth and fairly tingly, sometimes just a tad watery. Jsawyer (282), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 1, 2009 Bottle; eponymous blonde body with a thin white head. Aroma of mild caramel, spicy-wheaty, orange honey, and slightly floral. Flavor is mellow-yet-sweet orange, light caramel, and has a slight wheaty spice. Body is good, has a light aftertaste of a wit, and good effervescence. Pleasant beer, probably better during the summer, but not really my style.
