| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2006 This beer came a pale cloudy cider color that fades to gold near the bottom of the glass. The head consists of a wide collar of small white bubbles.
Smells of sweet honey and creamy wheat with some orange citrus. There’s also a smooth milky yeast that seems to ties this all together.
Tastes of doughy wheat and oats with an awesome, milky banana and clove presence. This is followed by a snap of citrus that helps dry the flavors out and helps this finish with a little clove and a pasty wheat.
The mouth feel is light to medium bodied and not too heavy at all.
This one’s a dead ringer for a Bavarian Weitzen. Well done! sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 6, 2006 Bottle. Cloudy light amber with lots of bubbles. Fizzy head mostly disappears, aroma of lemon, apple and yeast, a bit like cheap champagne. Flavor was tart, lemon mostly with a strange leafy or lawn clipping finish. Palate was medium but overcarbonated. Less a wheat beer than a kind of soda (fresca maybe?). Nice try, but way off the mark. zombywoof (362), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Aroma of banana- sour banana at that with some wheat and clove. The taste continues the same slightly sour banana motif the nose establishes. Thin body. Reminds me of Beach Bum Blonde Ale from Anheuser Busch-except I enjoyed that more than this. That was one of AB’s better brews and this may be Boulder’s worst-go figure. "Sweaty" is more apropos than Boulder may have intended. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 25, 2006 From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with a blurb along the left side of the label. no bottled/freshness date.
Poured a slightly hazy pale straw golden, actually a bit cleaner than one would expect from an unfiltered wheat, with foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing.
Simple aromas, banana and a very light clove, a trace of spice and fruity wheat malts.
Moderate carbonation overall and a softly crisp, smooth light-medium bodied mouthfeel, I could have used a little more body to this brew, a bit thin.
Pleasant, but bland, average tasting, banana and a crushed, dry clove yeasty, a lightly tart, sweet fruity wheat malts, a bare touch of spiciness with hints of earthiness and a sweet, slightly tart, wheat malty finish, for me, average wheat ale drinkability.
I respect Boulder Beer as a brewer, they have many beers that I enjoy, like their barley wine and IPA, but I have to agree with Sammy, this may be the worst beer in their line, which considering, isn’t really that bad.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 25, 2006 12oz. bottle: This one poured a straw yellow color. It was slightle hazy with a thick white head that dropped off rather quickly. Faint whiffs of banana and clove to the nose. The body is rather thin. The flavor isn’t bad, but it is weak. Slight notes of wheat and citrus. OK as a lawnmower beer, but not for any other reason. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2006 Poured a cloudy and hazy yellow-blond. Banana and citrus undertones. NOt a bad beer- kind of light bodied, but drinkable. Great name, though. Sammy (4057), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Aug 19, 2006 Light pale with fizzy carbonation and almost no head. Alcohol and cheesy scent. Light bodied but drinkable. A bit acidic sour, and a metallic aftertaste. I even thought it a tad skunky, but apparently this is normal for this beer.Terrible name. I think worst of the brewery’s line.
