Pours a hazy, straw yellow with a thin white head. Wheaty aroma with some yeast and banana. Tastes of grassy hops, yeast, wheat, bananas, other sweet fruits, and cloves. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Pretty average overall.

Poured a hazy pale yellow, thin head goes quick. Banana and light hops with esters. Malts and light hop with a mild body. No lacing or head to really speak of.

Bottle. Light malt and hop notes of straw and perfume, moderate dough and funky for the yeast, with hints of white wine, cooked corn and faint clove. Head is small, frothy/fizzy with no lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear yellow/amber. Flavor starts lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic. Palate is light to medium, watery and has carbonation between lively and fizzy. A pretty good Wheat Ale with a Belgian flair.

Sweaty Betty Blonde is a slightly hazy pale straw colored beer with a thin white head that disappears. It doesn’t leave any lacing. There isn’t much aroma; a hint of lemon and maybe banana and apple. It’s pretty light bodied but soft and fluffy with a clean, bubbly finish. It tastes simple and light but well balanced and clean. Pear oil is present, but not strong. Even the bitterness seems fruity. It’s tangy and refreshing.

like your average hefeweizen- flavor of yeast and white bread followed by a rush of bologna (not cool). Best not to think about. I guess this could be considered liquid hot dog. $6 bottle at Abraxas Lounge, Miami Beach

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Wheaty aroma with hints of banana and yeast. The flavor has fruity banana, with just a touch of citrus, wheat, and spice. Not quite a hefe. Tastes like a blend of a really good wheat ale and a decent hefe. A solid beer that really hit the spot this afternoon as I did a crossword puzzle on my patio.
