Deep cloudy brown look. I would buy a true belgian beer over an imitation any day of the week, but in a blind taste test this beer could have fooled me. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA

Pours a decent tea brown with an aroma of bourbon, bourbon chips, and a tinge of plumb. A slightly off-white head sits atop the beer. Flavor is peachy bread bourbon with a finish of zesty dark fruits tempered by the aforementioned flavors. Very interesting beer; I like it. Nice mouthfeel; hints of tingle and thickness. Wish I had more of this! shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

The bottle didn;t say Bourbon Barrel as far as I know. Is there not just a plain Boulevard 6th Glass quad? I didn;t enjoy this one that much, especially on a hot summer day. Heavy and really (too) malty sweet with hints of cherries and lots of alcohol shinning through. neepsntatties (350), Portland, Oregon, USA
