A dry, medium-bodied dark ale. Its intense dark-roasted barley malt flavor is perfectly balanced by complex hop character.

Re-rate: On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a deep brown body with ruby tints and a thick, khaki brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves loads of lacing. Gorgeous porter and more beautiful work by the Flying Saucer. Aroma is very solid porter-like. Mild mocha and sweet dark chocolates with a nice amount of sweet toffee maltiness and figs. Flavor is very similar and more of the same porter taste. Sweet chocolate, big roasts, mild mocha coffee, slightly figgy, and a nice hoppy balance. Awesome aftertaste. Lots of lingering bitterness, roasts, and milky chocolate. Palate is rather light for such a flavorful porter, but it doesn’t hold the flavor back one bit. Very drinkable. Overall, easily my favorite beer offered by Boulevard. Holds a special place in my beer loving heart. Fantastic porter.

Aroma is some dark malting,a hint of roastedness, and some slight coppery thing, very aggresive head, perhaps a little to much so,mild roasted and bitter choclate, with a hint of hop bitterness in finish. The large head translated into slightly over the top carbonation, which thinned out the tastes somewhat. Probaly would be better if it was a little smoother

Not a huge fan of Porter but this one isn’t bad. Pours a large dark tan head. Nice taste with a sort of bitter coffee finish. I think my friends who like darks will certainly like this one.

Pours a dark, opaque brown with nice, tan head. Aroma of hops, chocolate, dark malt. Taste is of hops upfront, followed by roasty malt, chocolate, coffee, with a dry finish. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, with a sufficient amount of carbonation. Overall, a solid porter.

(Bottle courtesy of Headbanger). Aroma is a nice roasted malt scent with some hops noticeable in the back. Color is black with a little purple showing in the light. Carbonation is good with a tall tight head. Taste is deeply roasted. Starting with a medium body it goes down crisp and easy. Finish comes on with a bold roasted flavor that has a sweet somewhat burnt taste to it, this is then followed by a mild bitterness. After taste is dry as the bitterness grows and lingers. This is an all around good Porter, its bold, well balanced and easy to drink

Bottle. Pours dark bottle with a light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and some fruitness. Taste is coffee, toffee and some pine hops. Taste is better than the aroma lets on. Kind of reminds of a tamer version of Alpha Kong. Finish has some coffee and tabacco in it and nice bitterness. Good stuff, been wanting to try this one for a while.

bottle. some floral hop noted in the aroma, but more pronounced is the buttery roasted nut. rich dark brown color, the huge bubbly /creamy head on the pour surprised me, stayed very well, good lacing too, very appealing. Taste was again surprising, hop character very evident right away, turns into a roasted chocolate malt combined with a lingering slight citrus hop (lemon mostly) finish. Again, surprisingly good, interesting porter, but still has that ever so slight watered down feel to it.
