Tate is well hopped and decent body to match. Not much roastiness going on, though enough to notice. Nice beer. SuzyGreenberg (1408), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 13, 2008 12 oz. bottle - thanks to gregis for the trade; pours thin and dark brown with off-white head; roasty aromas mainly nut, chocolate and the malty/soapy feel to them; a little on the weak side but made up for in the flavors as it packs a mouthful; thin body, but coffee, chocolate and fruit flavors dominate; dry aftertaste; seems pretty unique as far as porters go undsioux7 (561), Cologne, Minnesota, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a coffee black with a nice tan head. The taste is of smoke, roasted malts and hops. Has a similar aroma. Has a dry, somewhat smoke finish. Reminds me of Alaskan Smoked Porter. For as flavorful as this beer is, it goes down very easy. I wouldn’t mind having this again. Also the bottle label is pretty cool looking. daknole (3023), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

I got this a few months ago from someone I know in the Show Me state. I remember this being a fairly dry but very tasty porter. Some nice dark roasted coffee flavor wtih a hint of bittersweet chocolate. Some hops are present as well. Not bad!! unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA

Tastes like cherry chocolates(dark) with some roasted coffee flavors. Not too sweet, though and includes a good amount of bitterness. Medium Body. Very Tasty.
