Nice hints of coffee and chocolate; bitter. Fizzier than I expected. swimmer571 (5), Winona, Minnesota, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 21, 2008 Fantastic pour. Aroma was a little weak in my opinion, but still had a nice roasted scent. A very well balanced porter. MaltOMeal (653), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA

Aroma smells like pancakes in a way. It’s sweet and bready. The flavor is well roasted, coffee like, some chocolate. A little light overall, but satisfying all the same. Smells really smoky and dark. I’m actually surprised at how good this smells. Very nice and dark.
There is actually a surprisingly prevalent hop presence to this porter. Still dark and malty and roasty but also has the hop presence to complete it. Really nice.
Solid ass porter here. Not the best I’ve ever had, but there ain’t nothing wrong with this one....nothing at all..
