Commercial Description:
A dry, medium-bodied dark ale. Its intense dark-roasted barley malt flavor is perfectly balanced by complex hop character.

Solid beer, even better porter. Had much taste of roasted malt and coffee. well balanced with hop. medium to light body. It is also cheap so I would and have bought again.

Deep brown, medium head. Dark roasted malts, coffee, and a bit of chocolate. Quite hoppy for a porter, with a strong dry hop finish. Overall not much to say about this, but it’s a solid porter.

Pours an opaque brown with a fair amount of tan head. Flavors are of roasted malts and chocolate but fairly weak. Not as creamy in body as I expected.

This beer pours a deep black with a very thin tan head leaving no lacing down the sides. The aroma is roasted chocolate and some coffee. Initially I get that upfront porter wow from the chocolate and coffee but then it gets quite watery and the flavors goes away. Quite disappointing for a porter if you ask me. I expected a little more creaminess and a little more stamina and did not get it. Cheers!

Pours an almost opaque black/brown with a small tan head. Roasted malt and flowers on the nose. Roasted malt and some bitterness in the flavor, a bit watery, it finishes a dry bitter.

I like the taste at first, but it has a weird after taste, kinda coppery almost. You won’t want to drink to many back to back.

Sampled from 12-oz bottle, pours a near opaque dark brown brew with a creamy light tan head that has some excellent lacing and good retention. Aroma of toasted black malt, dark chocolate, some flowery hops and a touch of sweet coffee. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a good balance of toasted malt and hop bitterness. Finish has a mostly dark roasted malt flavor with just a touch of hop bitterness. I recall trying this over 15 years ago and the flavor has not changed much since.
