Had much taste of roasted malt and coffee. well balanced with hop. medium to light body. It is also cheap so I would and have bought again. WisconsinBeer (536), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Deep brown, medium head. Dark roasted malts, coffee, and a bit of chocolate. Quite hoppy for a porter, with a strong dry hop finish. Overall not much to say about this, but it’s a solid porter. Tripplebrew (503), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Pours an opaque brown with a fair amount of tan head. Flavors are of roasted malts and chocolate but fairly weak. Not as creamy in body as I expected. dyetube (419), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 11, 2007 This beer pours a deep black with a very thin tan head leaving no lacing down the sides. The aroma is roasted chocolate and some coffee. Initially I get that upfront porter wow from the chocolate and coffee but then it gets quite watery and the flavors goes away. Quite disappointing for a porter if you ask me. I expected a little more creaminess and a little more stamina and did not get it. Cheers! dankman38 (228), Somewhere in, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 4, 2007 Pours an almost opaque black/brown with a small tan head. Roasted malt and flowers on the nose. Roasted malt and some bitterness in the flavor, a bit watery, it finishes a dry bitter. philfish (14), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Sampled from 12-oz bottle, pours a near opaque dark brown brew with a creamy light tan head that has some excellent lacing and good retention. Aroma of toasted black malt, dark chocolate, some flowery hops and a touch of sweet coffee. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a good balance of toasted malt and hop bitterness. Finish has a mostly dark roasted malt flavor with just a touch of hop bitterness. I recall trying this over 15 years ago and the flavor has not changed much since.
