Jun 24, 2007 12 oz Bottle poured nearly pitch coffee black, with ever so slight tan tones and a moderate, fluffy tan head. Roasted, creamy and fairly sweet. An agressively carbonated and well balanced chocalatey porter. I hope the aroma will build as it warms.

Jun 23, 2007 355 ml bottle. Pours an opaque mahogany with a dense tan head. Roasted malt nose with a slight sweetness. Medium body with a nice dry palate. Notable sharp finish with a lingering edge.

Jun 23, 2007 bottle from soonah: pours a deep brown red colour with a large foamy tan head. aroma is sweet raosted malts with coffe and chocolate laced in. the flavour is great sweet chocolate and malts upfront with a nice coffee, bitter dark chocolate finish. the hops also blend in nicely. overall a real good porter from a brewery i have really enjoyed.

Jun 22, 2007 I love this porter! wonderful roasted coffe/chocolate taste. Has great bitter aftertaste that makes me want to take another drink.
Very nice dark apperance, nice coffe and alcohol aroma. Quite carbonated for a porter.
The best of the Boulevards, and one of my personal favorite porters. This is will be a regular in my fridge.

Pours a dark black, darker than some stouts that I’ve seen, with a frothy two finger head that takes a good fifteen minute to settles to a thick cap. The foam leaves behind thick chunks on the inside of my glass.
Smell; very pleasant coffee and choclate malts dominate, with a little caramel, and a nice bit of a hops presence as well.
Taste; coffee and chocolate definitely come to the fore, with a touch of anise, and nice roasted bitterness in the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a bit of a lively carbonation, and the drinkabiity is really good. Until the smokestack series comes out, this is the best that Boulevard has to offer, in my opinion.

Jun 20, 2007 Pitch black color with a dark tan head. Smells of mainly of coffee with a hint of dark chocolate and some flowery hops. Hops more prevalent in the flavor than I’m used to in a porter, but it’s balanced nicely with the roasted maltiness.

Jun 17, 2007 Bottle, A nice rich taste, with a full palate, great dark roasted richness, and not overly sweet, with light hop notes. Quite nice.
