Commercial Description:
A dry, medium-bodied dark ale. Its intense dark-roasted barley malt flavor is perfectly balanced by complex hop character.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear garnet brown color. Head was thick, fluffy, and light tan in color. It lasted long into the night and left some decent lacing. Aroma was of roasty malt and molasses accompanied by a decent amount of flowery hop. Dry on the tongue with plenty of roasty malt supported by ample flowery hop. There is also a touch of unsalted nuts. A roasty version of their pale ale. Very good.

Bottle; in a pint glass. Pours a deep brown with a large, frothy, light-brown head. Aroma is a heavy burnt malt and pumpernickel. Palate is oily and soft with a moderate astringent finish. I felt the flavor was strangely leaning towards the bitter side of things despite its malty aroma. Finishes pretty dry. This is a local favorite in Kansas City, but not my favorite porter.

Bottle (thanks to Indra) poured a dark brown color with a nice light brown head. Aroma was rich with chocolate, roast, hops, oats, toffee and caramel. The flavor had a big charge of chocolate that pushed the bitterness up. More of the roasted malt come through as it warms along with a dry bite from all the dark malts and the hops. All in all a solid Porter.

This porter had a legit malt flavor to it. I tend to like my porters a bit heavier and bigger but this one was decent session quality.

Poured a lightly hazed ruby dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet roasty malt with some yeasty doughy notes. roasty flavor with some acidity and a carbonic bite. Light to medium bodied.

Pours dark brown, big tan head. Aroma is lots of roasted barley and some faint hop aroma. Flavor is slightly sour, salty and highly roasted flavors here as well. Not my favorite porter, but a solid beer nontheless.
