A: Looks like a fresh-brewed pot of coffee with a massively foamy tan head! Leaves a ton of lacing, too.
S: Smells like it looks, no surprises here. Dark, roasted coffee and some slight cocoa aromas emanate from this delicious-looking brew.
T: A wonderful mixture of roasted bitterness and slightly sweet malted character. Coffee, chocolate, cocoa powder are the prevalent flavors. Short but bitter finish.
M: Not as thin as many porters, ample carbonation and a substantial body add to this beer’s enjoyability.
D: The more this beer warms and the more I get into it, the more I’m enjoying it. Wish I could get it in NJ! madscotsman (147), Fairview Heights, Illinois, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2007 12 oz bottle! Don’t forget the ! this is no average Bully. Bought this puppy at John’s Grocery Iowa City. Pours a black-brown with a fizzy beige head and nice lacing on the way down. Light malty aroma, bakers chocolate. Chocolate roast and sweet flavors fizzy, with a light bitterness. Pretty decent porter! But not as exciting as the exclamations might imply !! Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 8, 2007 12 oz bottle from Soonah - thanks! Pours into my English pint glass a deep, hazy brown with a big foamy brown head that gets a bit rocky as it fades. Sweet, roasty malt nose, some light coffee notes. Nice thick brown lace. Medium roasty coffee flavors, mildly bitter. Hops come more to the fore in the finish, lightly citrus and flowery. Good stuff.
