| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2009 This was easily the best one out of the sampler pack. Poured a deep dark brown color. Some light passing through on the sides. A nice two-finger thick head formed and remained throughout. It left really attractive lacing behind. The smell was what a good roasted beer should smell like. The roasted malts, a hint of chocolate and of course, coffee. The flavor was very much the same with chocolate and roasted coffe coming through nicely. There was a bit of hops and spice in this as well, though only hints of them. skeils (7), , Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 13, 2009 bottle in KC. cloudy black pour with above average, long lasting head.
