Commercial Description:
A dry, medium-bodied dark ale. Its intense dark-roasted barley malt flavor is perfectly balanced by complex hop character.

Pours deep dark brown. Aroma is full of sweet roasted malt, coffee and milk chocolate. Taste is very smooth, and has a coffee/chocolate flavor kind of hoppy.

A huge tan colored head with staying power is what greets you to this beer. Patience is a virtue in this case. Once the foam ebbed the beer underneath was a treat. The usual undertones of a porter were evident such as caramel, coffee, and chocolate. Most notable was the wonderful balance of the beer. A slightly bitter start led to a pleasant sweet finish. In between was pretty good, too.

Bottle poured a translucent brownish-black with a large long lasting brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, with just a hint of coffee. Palate was medium bodied and a bit watery for the style. Flavors of bitter chocolate, and some coffee with a dry slightly bitter finish.

The first sip had a noticably bitter after taste that I found unpleasant but after the first bottle I grew quite fond of the unique blend of flavors. Anyone who likes dark beers should give Bully a try.

Bottled. Pours dark brown with amber highlights. The tan head leaves a fine lace pattern in the glass, and the aroma is that of roasty malt, coffee, and perhaps some chocolate. The flavor is roasted malt, with some chocolate notes. A very fine dry finish and excellent palate--not too carbonated, but with body--make this porter a pleasure to drink. Highly recommended!

12 oz bottle via trade with jzzbassman - Thanks Monte! - Pours black with ruby highlights and a 2 inch creamy tan head that stays well and laces. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, some coffee and some caramel. Flavor is milk chocolate, roasted malts, caramel and a raisin sweetness at the end that is finished by a coffee bitterness that I really liked. Palate is smooth and pretty well carbonated. A very drinkable porter that I enjoyed much!

Pours black with a huge light tan head that fades very slowly. Aroma is of roast and mild chocolate. Flavor is a rounded roast, mild chocolate, a slight raisin, a slight smoke, a slight sourness in the finish and aftertaste. Body is light to medium palate is a bit watery. NIce boldly roasty porter the thinner body makes it very drinkable but the finish is just a little to thin.

Bottle Pours a clear very dark brown/black with the light bulb barley showing some red highlights. Just a skin of a light brown head and thin but even lacing. dark roasted aromas with lots of semiswet chocolate. Flavors are similar. Not very smokey or charcoaly but a nice rounded roasted flavor. Quite lively carbonation and lacking that common sour bite that a lot of porters have. Very nice.
