Commercial Description:
A dry, medium-bodied dark ale. Its intense dark-roasted barley malt flavor is perfectly balanced by complex hop character.

Did I get a bad batch? It was dark (duh) with a roasted woody aroma. Tasted watery and metalic. I did appreciate the deep roastd flavor, but after having Fullers London Porter this was no good.

Poured a dark brown, ruby (almost purple) color with a medium sized, bubbly, tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of light chocolate and roast, cherries, nuts, and wood. Chocolate, lots of roastiness, and faint dried fruitiness in the taste. A flavorful and robust porter.

Small, tan, lasting head. Color is dark brown. Flavor is pretty good, not overpowering, gentle. Nice chocolate flavor, malty. Good brew.

(12 oz bottle/shaker best by 08-12-05) Pours almost opaque red with two fingers of head. No visible carbonation. Smells strongly of of chocolate and malt. Tastes of raisins and palate is very oily with sweet aftertaste.

Brown body, lasting tan head. Light roasty, dark fruity aromas. Good robust flavors; black patent and hoppy bitterness balances a nice mocha sweetness. Malty, full bodied, assertive. Nice!

Nice porter! Dark brown/almost black with a full, creamy head. Full of roasted malty flavors. Thanks, Springslicker!

Dark brown maybe black appearance with good creamy head and lacing that didn’t stop. There was a roasted smell and hinted towards the sweetness to come. Taste was sweet with hints of caramel and some honey.

Dark and oily, creamy head with attractive sheeting. Nose roasty and a bit smoky, some molasses sweet. Sweet with molasses, some bitter chocolate, roasty at the end.
