(12 oz bottle/shaker best by 08-12-05) Pours almost opaque red with two fingers of head. No visible carbonation. Smells strongly of of chocolate and malt. Tastes of raisins and palate is very oily with sweet aftertaste.

Brown body, lasting tan head. Light roasty, dark fruity aromas. Good robust flavors; black patent and hoppy bitterness balances a nice mocha sweetness. Malty, full bodied, assertive. Nice!

Dark brown maybe black appearance with good creamy head and lacing that didn’t stop. There was a roasted smell and hinted towards the sweetness to come. Taste was sweet with hints of caramel and some honey.

Dark and oily, creamy head with attractive sheeting. Nose roasty and a bit smoky, some molasses sweet. Sweet with molasses, some bitter chocolate, roasty at the end.

.From Duane, thanks. Poured Dark and inviting. Large tan head, that is hanging around. As the head settles, it leaves good lacing. The aroma is roasted and toasted and caramel. the taste is chocolate and malts(roasted). There is mild bitter/sweet lie an espresso with double chocolate shot added. Well balanced and tasty

bottle from secret santa...dark brown pour, with some red tint...nice pale brown head. Aroma of sweet dark fruit, chocolate malt. Nice bright roasted malt flavor, some hop kick to start also. Middle sweetens a little, and the end finishes beautifully with a nice dose of choco-bitterness. This is a very well balanced beer, and I am very grateful to have had the chance to sample it.
