This is the boldest beer in Boulevard’s regular lineup. intense dark roasted grains. spicy on the palate and tasty all the way. It’s what a porter should be. I’m also getting a bit of extra carbonation on this one to help it act lively on the tongue. Nicely done! sebletitje (1971), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours deep amber with nice mocha head. The aroma is mild with notes of chocolate, roasted malts, a bit of caramel and faint burnt malts. The taste has a bright pulse of a modest level of malt astringency and burnt maltiness followed by more malts and more burnt malts. Midway and to the finish a light amount of malt astringency helps to finish the experience. drpimento (844), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma is malty, roasty with some dark ripe fruit. Flavor is very similar. Seems force carbonated. Some booziness to it. Good finish. Could be a session beer. monkeychugg55 (241), Joliet, Illinois, USA

Light roast malt in the aroma with a strong coffee smell. Seemed light almost watery but this did not detract from the flavor. Finish was of bitter coffee.
