Apr 25, 2009 Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours deep amber with nice mocha head. The aroma is mild with notes of chocolate, roasted malts, a bit of caramel and faint burnt malts. The taste has a bright pulse of a modest level of malt astringency and burnt maltiness followed by more malts and more burnt malts. Midway and to the finish a light amount of malt astringency helps to finish the experience.

Apr 22, 2009 Not too bad. Poured with a tan head and brown highlights, no lace. Very dark mahogoney color. Aroma is malty, roasty with some dark ripe fruit. Flavor is very similar. Seems force carbonated. Some booziness to it. Good finish. Could be a session beer.

Apr 15, 2009 Pours black with brown edges, nice head and good lace. Some fruit, coffee and chocolate in the nose. None really standing out more than the other. Sweet flavors of smoke and coffee. Not bad.

Apr 11, 2009 Nice dark pour with a light brown head. Light roast malt in the aroma with a strong coffee smell. Seemed light almost watery but this did not detract from the flavor. Finish was of bitter coffee.

Apr 11, 2009 Bottle: Dark brown pour, thin tan head. Aroma is mainly a light roastiness with some dry coffee tones. Dry and robust in flavor with a heavy roast, dark chocolate, and just ever so faintly sweet before a nice lingering bittersweetness. A nice weight to it. An easy drinker.

Apr 1, 2009 Pours dark, very dark, brown color with light, light, brown frothy 2 finger head. Aroma, just a bit of a light smell of dark sweetness.
Taste, heavy coffee flavor with a touch of sweetness on the sides of my mouth, then finishing with a bitter, dark chocolate flavor. mouthfeel is medium.
Overall, this is one exceptional brew! This will probably be my go to Porter from now on. Really robust flavors in this one, without anything being to dominating. Nice! Look forward to more of these, glad I went with the 6pk!
