Mar 4, 2009 Dark rosy pour. Light scent of chocolate. Head fills out nicely but turns lumpy quickly. Tastes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Quite good!

Pours a dark red colored body with a big foamy tan-colored head, good lasting. Malty nutty coffee aroma. Dark fruit, dustiness, grape and fig. Sweet and sugary too, light molasses and brown sugar. Brown sugar, molasses and a coffee aftertaste. Watery palate. Fruity coffee taste. Deliciousness! Somewhat dry.

Feb 27, 2009 Bottle an extra in a trade. Pours a brown cola body with a massive 3 finger tan head. Aroma is some light roasty coffee with some minerals, calcium, and dry. Very bitter between the coffee bitterness and the hop character. Almost comes off a bit metallic. Not really a fan.

Feb 23, 2009 I guess you could do worse, but it’s not a great effort from Boulevard. It tastes like a light version of their Dry Stout, but a little more bitter. It’s not terrible, but if there are other Porters or Stouts, those would get my endorsement over this.

Feb 18, 2009 Pours a very dark black/brown sort of color with a nice fluffy head, as much retention as I could ever ask for and a lace to go the distance. Aroma is a nice balance of chocolate and roasty malts with some floral hoppiness, simple but wonderful never the less. I must have a thing for porter because this is just delightful, and I swear I say that about all the porters. The flavor of the roasted malt just balances so well with the nice American hops, of which there seem to be plenty. Great coffee tones and a wonderful bitterness. The palate is not terribly full and sort of sharp but for the style it does not need to be all that big and round. Way to go Boulevard, way to go.

Feb 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours a black color. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is the same. Aftertaste is great. A very good beer.

Feb 8, 2009 BOTTLE: pours black, aroma of roasted malt and faint coffee. Taste was roasted malt, some coffee, a little creamy. Palate was a little thin. Decent beer.
