Commercial Description:
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Columbus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Chinook hops added in the whirlpool. It is dry hopped with generous amounts of Cascade, Bravo, Centennial, and Chinook hops. The resulting beer has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

750mL bottle. Came recommended to me by my knowledgeable liquor store employee Pours a dark amber/brown color with a finger+ high off-white thick head. Smells of apricot, citrus, caramel malt, and lots of hops. Tastes of citrus, malt, a little hop presence; a little disappointing. Very smooth going down, and not too harsh at all. Overall prettty decent, but nothing spectacular.

750: Nice-looking beer; murky rust with a frothy, lasting head. Inviting nose has hints of fruity esters. Medium body; very lively carbonation, probably too sparkly. Flavors are sweet and sour, with notes of caramel, toast, toffee and fruit, such as dried apricots, pear, tangerine and lemon. Other curious elements of bitter orange peel and fermented vanilla. Evident, biting alcohol is somewhat harsh at first. Hops are pleasant (lemony, grassy, herbal) and not overplayed, yet seem to lack some aromatic depth. Malts improve a bit as the beer warms; some bitterness lingers on the tongue; carbonation mellows; and with time you become immune to the alcohol bite; so the more I drank, the more I started to like it (wasn’t so impressed at first, but it kind of grew on me halfway through the bottle).

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a hazy tarnished copper with a large lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, peach, orange, grapefruit, honey and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, honey, peach, tangerine, orange zest and a hint of grapefruit with a smooth moderatly bitter fruity finish.

Think this was actually meant as a tribute to my life lived in a trailer, but it is most certainly not trash. Highly enjoyable. I need to either ship the other bottle I have or drink it as I don’t generally think IIPAs should be aged,

Pours a clear dark reddish amber brown with large fluffly rose-tinted khaki head. Nose of caramel, and a decent amount of aromatic hops. Great malt backbone balances out the intense floral hops. Some fruity notes as well. A little piney and grassy on the finish. EXCELLENT! Great balanced beer.

This is probably my favorite beer. It has an amber orange color pour and you can smell the hops as soon as you open the bottle. It has a nice thick white head. The flavor is citrus and grass and you feel it move through your nose as your drink it. A wonderful IPA.

I’m not sure why this is listed as an IPA since it is clearly a double but who gives a shit right? nice orange color with a superb head liek whipped cream that just won’t die. It smells like spicy hops, cinnamon, weird. The flavor is almost all malt and not bad until a funny plastic flavor shows up that I usually get from Belgians. Is this beer supposed to have brett (God I hope not) because I think that is what I am tasting. This beer was not bad but I would have been better of saving my $8 for a sixer of Odell IPA.
