| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 17, 2008 Fresh aroma of apricot, peach and pine. Foamy tan head with reddishorange haze color. Resiny hops and spice balance very nicely with the malt and apricot notes. Medium sweet, clean finish and zesty. Excellent and emminently drinkable. This is my new number one India Pale Ale. Another winner from Boulevard’s Smokestack Series. And for less than $8, well worth it. JCB (1796), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Very nice hefty pour, with a cloudy amber body pumping up a billowy, rocky head. Very strong citrus in the aroma, a bit of mango and tropical fruits too. Initially the malts come across wicked sweet, with a touch of booziness that’s almost too much. But the heat subsides a bit, allowing the hops to shine. Very rich body complements the malts, even if the balance is still slightly off. Enjoyable, even if it’s not quite as clean and crisp as I prefer. Glad to try it though. kwoeltje (1333), Manchester, Missouri, USA

Aroma was abundant grapefruit, maybe some apricot. Flavor was nicely balanced between malt backbone and citrus/pine hops. Bitter hops finish. eaglefan538 (2403), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Bottle from theisti. Batch 07325. Pour was full orange, some haze, grand great foamy off-white head. The aroma was citrus hops with some resinous notes, orangey aromas. The flavor followed, citrus and resinous hops playing nice together but also a sharp bittering hop finish. The mouthfeel was full, fairly clean. Thanks, Tim, great one! durhambeer (1232), Durham, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 14, 2008 750 ml bottle. This is a hop monster. Surprisingly dark copper/amber pour with medium off white head. Loads of hops and dark citrus on the nose. Some fruitiness, but pine/resin hitting hard, too. Intense. Lots of malt backing up this beer to balance the hops a bit. If you are big into hops, this is your beer. Otherwise, depending on your preference, it could be too much. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 11, 2008 750 ml bottle. Cork was a little troublesome, but eventually gave way. Pours beautiful copper/amber and hazy. Thick off white head. Aromas of peach and dried apricot. Some earthy malt as well. More peach and apricot in the flavor with a good malt presence. Finish with some lemon rind and decent bitterness. Medium bodied. Good brew, well worth searching for. I enjoy this brewery.
