Commercial Description:
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Columbus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Chinook hops added in the whirlpool. It is dry hopped with generous amounts of Cascade, Bravo, Centennial, and Chinook hops. The resulting beer has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

750 ml bottle. Thanks to drewbeerme for this one. Pours a dark orange amber with a thick fluffy beige head. Aroma is toffee and biscuit malts with faded hops coming up behind of citrus and grass. At first sip I’m really enjoying this beer. After Bell’s Big Head, this one is drinkable and its cleansing my palate. But it grows too sweet quickly. Citrus, lemons, slight grass, and biscuit malts. Theres a touch of yeast/dough pepper spice. Not bad, but not that good either.

Pour is a orange with a large tan head. Aroma is excellent! Huge fresh pine hops with a good amount of caramel malts to round things out. Flavor is decent as well. Very dry with a nice pine hop and some green tea. Malts are not as strong as in the aroma but there are enough to show up and make an appearance. Well done and I’ve heard this may not be around for awhile due to the hop shortage. I’m glad i got to try it.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. 750ml corked...opens with a huge pop. Pours a lightly hazy amber with some golden notes and a medium bubbly off white head that left lacing. Aroma of floral notes, orange, tea, some medicinal notes and earthy. Flavor of tea, citrus, toasted malt, caramel, orange, cereal grains, nice hop bitterness.
