Pours a dark orange amber with a thick fluffy beige head. Aroma is toffee and biscuit malts with faded hops coming up behind of citrus and grass. At first sip I’m really enjoying this beer. After Bell’s Big Head, this one is drinkable and its cleansing my palate. But it grows too sweet quickly. Citrus, lemons, slight grass, and biscuit malts. Theres a touch of yeast/dough pepper spice. Not bad, but not that good either. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 2, 2008 Pour is a orange with a large tan head. Aroma is excellent! Huge fresh pine hops with a good amount of caramel malts to round things out. Flavor is decent as well. Very dry with a nice pine hop and some green tea. Malts are not as strong as in the aroma but there are enough to show up and make an appearance. Well done and I’ve heard this may not be around for awhile due to the hop shortage. I’m glad i got to try it. hopdog (5608), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
