| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 18, 2009 Bottle as a gift. Pours a bright golden-amber color with a nice off-white head. Enticing aroma of piney hops and sweet malt. Flavor is sweet caramel/pale malt and citrus/pine hops with slight oxidative notes (but not really to a fault). Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Isn’t this more of a DIPA than a single? HarmonKill-a-Brew (320), Wilmar, Arkansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2009 Aroma was piney and malty. Flavor was pretty much the same thing. Sort of a muddy brown/copper color. Pretty good, maybe just a little heavy on the hops for me. tturner (105), , Washington, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 16, 2009 well balanced. on the bright and cheery side of astringent and thin... citrus, even a touch of lemon in the nose. a smidgen thin overall, and overpriced. Brings something new to table. great refreshing summer beer. trevor211 (504), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 14, 2009 Pours a murky copper with a huge off-white head. Tons of dry hops in the aroma, and barely enough caramel malt to sufficiently counter. Nice, full mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation. Nice and bitter without crossing any lines. This is good! crackedmachine (86), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 12, 2009 Hoppy, yeasty, slightly sour aroma pops out of the bottle. Pours a deep, translucent orange-red with a very thick tan head. Caramel malt is the core of the flavor, with a lingering spiciness and bitter finish. Not overly sweet, but also without the strong Cascade/Columbus hop flavor of many IPAs. A bit of noticeable alcohol. This is an interesting alternative to the West Coast style I typically prefer, and a nice use of couple of less common hop varieties. Drink4Satan (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2009 Thanks to FlssmrBrewAlum for this one. Pours a hazy orange with a rocky cream coloured head that just won’t fade, leaving great lacing. The nose is filled with musty, resin-like hops with notes of grapefruit, apricot and orange zest. The flavour is a bit boozier than expected, but full of hop flavour, not just astringent bite, though it is slightly phenolic. There is plenty of lemon zest, a toffee and light caramel backbone, and a nice hop resin lingering. The body is medium, slightly slick and has fizzy carbonation. A very nice IPA! jbye4334 (710), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
